MetaSwarmX – Meta-Domain Schwarmtechnologie für intelligente und plattformübergreifende Produktion der Zukunft
The utilisation of robotic systems within industrial contexts, such as production and logistics, is on the rise. It is rare for such systems to function in isolation. The 'MetaSwarmX' project is, therefore, focusing on the coordination between robotic systems. The project explores new AI-based technologies for the intelligent production of the future. The primary focus of the project is on the optimisation and the interoperability between heterogeneous swarm robotics platforms, ranging from the planning level to the operational level. The findings will be used in the agricultural use case of collecting stones in a field with the help of a swarm of robotic swarms. Each of these swarms self-adaptively chooses a specific role: detector, collector or transporter.
